Seafood Mac & Cheese Bake

This Seafood Mac & Cheese Bake blends tender macaroni with shrimp, crab, and crawfish in a rich, creamy cheese sauce. Baked until bubbly and lightly golden, it’s a comforting dish with a luxurious twist.
Ingredients
Pasta
- 450 g (1 lb) elbow macaroni
Seafood
- 400 g jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 200 g lump crab meat, drained
- 250 g crawfish tails, thawed and rinsed
Cheese Sauce
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 300 g processed melting cheese, cubed
- 2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese
Seasoning
- 2 tsp seafood seasoning
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
- 1½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the macaroni until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter with the heavy cream. Add the cubed melting cheese and stir continuously until smooth.
- Stir in seafood seasoning, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt to taste.
- In a skillet, sauté the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until opaque. Warm crawfish gently, then fold in crab carefully.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Combine pasta with half of the cheese sauce, then gently fold in the seafood.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish, pour remaining sauce on top, and sprinkle with shredded Colby Jack cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Tips
- Do not overcook seafood before baking to keep it tender.
- Freshly shredded cheese melts more smoothly.
- A splash of lemon juice before serving enhances flavor.
